Psalm 103

“The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all.” (Psalm 103:19; NASBU)

Sovereignty – supreme authority or rule, royal power, dominion.

The extent of GOD’S exercised sovereignty is the issue.  What kind of Sovereignty does GOD exercise?  Does GOD micromanage everything?  Did GOD decide before the foundation of the world not to control every last detail that happens?  GOD, in His sovereignty, chose to create mankind with free will – the personal freedom and responsibility to choose between good and evil.

7 Truths About GOD’S Sovereignty
1.GOD is ultimately in control.
2.Even though GOD is in control, not everything in this life, however, turns out exactly the way He wants.
3.Divine sovereignty works in conjunction with human freedom.
4.Sometimes GOD uses the actions of free creatures to bring the greater good even when there is no apparent connection on the human level.
5.We must confess that there is a whole lot we just don’t know about the will of GOD.
6.GOD calls us to trust Him and commit ourselves to Him anyway, because eternally everything is going to be alright.
7.GOD longs to share with you His glory, but He will not do so without your consent.

“Come to Me…” (Matthew 11:28)
