The Christ of Romans: Jesus is Our Righteousness!
1. Paul presents
Jesus Christ as the Second Adam whose righteousness and substitutionary
death have provided justification for all who place their faith in Him (5).
2. Christ offers His righteousness as a gracious
gift to sinful men, having borne God’s condemnation
and wrath for their sinfulness (1-8).
3. His death and resurrection are the basis for
the believer’s redemption, justification, reconciliation,
salvation, and glorification (8).
