I Would to God

Acts 26:27-29; NKJV

27 King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe."

28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, "You almost persuade me to become a Christian."

29 And Paul said,"I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains."

Would - euchomai - to wish, by implication, to pray to God (Strong's).

Paul not only wished that King Agrippa might become a disciple of Christ, he prayed that King Agrippa might become a disciple of Christ.  Let us not only wish that others would become His disciples.  Let us pray earnestly that they would take Jesus as their Lord and Master!
