The Song Remains the Same

Zedekiah sought out Jeremiah when the Babylonians began the siege of Jerusalem in 588 BC (see Jeremiah 21.  Sometime later, before the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC, Zedekiah sought out Jeremiah again and asked him if there was any word from Jehovah.  Jeremiah said, "There is."  Then he said to Zedekiah, "You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon!" (Jeremiah 37:17; NKJV).

Jehovah's message to Zedekiah remained the same.

Jehovah's message to us remains the same too:  "Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven" (Psalm 119:89; NKJV).
