Cultivating Joy

Serve GOD with gladness (Psalm 100:2).

You may be working hard and serving the Lord faithfully, but if your aren’t serving Him with gladness, you aren’t serving Him appropriately or representing Him accurately (Deuteronomy 28:47-48).

Are you someone who’s consistently joyful and continually aware that “the joy of the LORD is your strength?” (Nehemiah 8:10; Philippians 4:4)

Or do you normally appear to others to be someone who’s burdened, busy, and easily bothered?

In order to cultivate joy in Christ one must abide hard by the cross:  “…rejoice that your names are written in heaven…” (Luke 10:17-20).

Let the cross always be the treasure of your heart, your best and highest thought, your passionate preoccupation.
