Manasseh and Jesus

"And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen.  Therefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon.  Now when he was in affliction, he implored the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God" (2 Chronicles 33:10-13; NKJV)

Jehovah takes great delight in bringing people back to Himself and giving them a place in the family of Jesus. Jesus is listed as one of Manasseh's descendants in Matthew 1:10.  Despite the multiplicity of Manasseh's sins, Jehovah brought forth His only begotten Son from the seed of Manasseh.

You too can be a part of the family of God:  "Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,  in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit." (Ephesians 2:19-22; NKJV)
