Eliezer of Damascus was probably the servant sent by Abraham in Genesis 24 to find a wife for Isaac (see Genesis 15:2). Once he arrived in Nahor he prayed:
"O LORD God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day..." (Genesis 24:12; NKJV). The Spirit tells us in verse 15 that
"before he had finished speaking," Jehovah had not only heard his prayer, He had responded to it.
When we pray and "ask anything according to His will, He hears us" (1 John 5:14; NKJV). "Hears" has to do with attending to. He not only hears our prayers, he responds to them!
Pray. Know He hears. Trust that he will respond if you ask according to His will. Experience what Eliezar experienced!
